Join Moomin International Kindergarten's fun-filled holiday camps! We welcome kid 2 to 8 years old for English immersion through our expertly designed Finnish curriculum and hands-on projects in the arts, baking, nature, and more.
Small groups, expert teachers, and global friends make learning an exciting adventure. No English skills required to attend, but the goal is to leave us speaking English!
In all of our camps and short term stays, children learn through our inquiry based hands on experiential approach that our regular families choose us for.
Experiential learning is powerful as children actively engage in an activity with their hands, play with it, gain a deeper understanding and retain more knowledge.

Learn vocabulary related to travel, choose the appropriate clothes for each destination, pack your luggage, prepare your passport and get ready for a summer adventure!
Embark on a weekly global journey! Join us as we set off on a weekly exploration of diverse countries. We'll immerse ourselves in each nation's unique identity, from learning their languages and dances to understanding some facts and geography.
Get hands-on with cultural crafts, construct iconic architecture and art, and experience the world through its flavours by cooking and tasting authentic dishes. Every week is a new destination, a new discovery!

What will my child learn?
Your child will be immersed in english, learn with our finnish curriculum in an international school environment
Every week, your child will learn basic facts about a country, geography, culture, customs and language. Your child will be introduced to new vocabulary, practice creativity skills to create art, practice confidence skills through music, movement and mini presentations
Immerse in English and experience inquiry, hands-on, Project based education.
Be exposed to and gain command of new vocabulary on a range of different topics following our world renown Finnish curriculum.
Gain confidence in communicating in English.
Develop World knowledge and intellectual curiosity.
Practice critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Build meaningful relationships with educators and friends from many different countries, communicate and experience culture firsthand.
What will my child do all day?
Experience learning in numerous ways with joy.
In addition to learning our curriculum, your child will have the freedom to explore, play and gain a sense of belonging.
Your child will be engaged and guided in an inquiry based approach throughout the day’s exciting activities and be given tasks so he/she takes responsibility for her own learning.
In addition to English, learn the basics in Spanish, Japanese.
Your child will be encouraged to use his/her voice to communicate and express emotions and will learn how express new emotions and how to deal with different situations.
3yrs and older children will practice English vocabulary in our Moomin Language App daily, to support his/her learning.
Have all of their care needs met: From forming indendent habits, to naps, snacks, meals, independent and guided play, physical activity & outdoor play.
Educators will share pictures of the whole day, so you can talk to your child about what they have experienced. You will be invited to join the app, just before your child starts with us.

worried about how your child will adapt?
As soon as you register for the program, you will receive a guide on how to prepare and get your child excited about their camp. Our amazing educators are highly trained and skilled in separation matters that are very normal for a child.
If your child is new to English, do not worry. Our camps are designed to guide and support children to feel comfortable and trusted. They are enticed to communicate, have fun and most of all, enjoy their learning.

The meals are Japanese style bento boxes that include steamed vegetables, Japanese rice, and a protein: beef, pork, chicken, fish, tofu, varying daily. Snacks usually include cut fresh fruit or a dry snack.
If your child has never attended a school environment, allow them the experience. Children need to learn to separate from parents and camp may not be the most conductive environment for them to learn this very important skill that takes time to learn.

Why choose to stay until 4:30PM?
In the afternoon, the children will have fun practicing what they learned in the morning. The activities vary every day and can include cooking, baking, science experiments, energising circuits, jumping on the trampoline etc.
These activities are different from the morning activities and are desinged to expand children’s learning. There is no time to do everything in the regular day as the children also need to eat, play in the park, nap or rest so they learn better, consolidate their learning, practice to regulate their emotions and also do physically exercise.
Winter Camp:
Come and discover winter wonderland with us! These project weeks are all about celebrating the magic of Christmas and winter. We'll bake traditional treats from around the world including Christmas treat, learn the secrets of Finnish Christmas Rise pudding, and fill the air with festive songs. We will also explore new flavours, build confidence, and enhance our English communication skills in a truly enchanting atmosphere.

Fall Camp
Prepare for a week of Halloween magic! In our Witch Kitchen, we'll conjure up scary snacks and zombie brews. The Ghost Boutique will be buzzing with creepy crafts, and we'll end with a monster party you won't forget! We'll explore the imaginative world of Halloween, learn about its traditions, and boost confidence while communicating in English.

Spring Camp
Explore the wonders of nature as we embark on a design and building project to experience the magic of being an inventor.
Throughout the week, we will enjoy the outdoors and collect materials to enhance our creations.

We offer enrollment in weekly sessions throughout March and April. Alternatively, you can enroll your child during their school holidays. If your child's school has unique holiday dates, please let us know so we can arrange their participation.
