Join Moomin International Kindergarten's fun-filled holiday camps! We welcome children from 2 to 7 years old for English immersion through our expertly designed Finnish curriculum and hands-on projects in the arts, baking, nature, and more.
Small groups, expert teachers, and global friends make learning an exciting adventure. No English skills required to attend, your child will leave us speaking English!
In all of our camps and short term stays, children learn through our inquiry based hands on experiential approach that our regular families choose us for.
Experiential learning is powerful as children actively play recall games and use what they know to create a piece of art that is based on the learnt material gaining a deeper understanding and retain more knowledge.

What will my child learn?
Learn how to learn through explicit instruction, focused and relaxed activities.
Practice what has been learnt through recall games and physical exercise.
Use own creativity, curiosity, imagination and motivation to create hands on projects based on the learning unit.
Actively participate in and finish all of the day’s activities, learn to communicate own preferences, be a good listener, self regulate and develop a sense of belonging to the group.
Practice independence, self confidence, empathy and collaboration in different ways of playing and social interactions within the group activities.
What will my child do all day?
Learn how to learn without pressure, put the learning to use, enjoy the process.
Participate in a whole day of activities in different environments with children and teachers from different countries. See the day’s schedule.
Be exposed to knowledge about a different country each week, its geography, culture, customs and language.
Be asked to describe their surroundings, themselves, their preferences and talk about the week’s unit in an immersive English environment.
Play and be active outdoors every day, regardless of the weather. During summer, water play is essential.
Dance to music, jump to count on the trampoline, create active circuits, create art (projects) every single day, and even bake on Thursdays!
Have time to ask questions, explore, experiment, play and learn without knowing they are learning.
Your child will gain confidence communicating in English, develop intellectual curiosity about the world, learn to interact with adults and children of different ages and have a fantastic experience learning how to learn!
Educators will share pictures of the whole day, so you can talk to your child about what they have experienced. Telling you about their day is part of their learning journey!

In all of our camps, children experience the same high quality learning of our full programs available anytime of the year, all year around.
worried about how your child will adapt?
As soon as you register for the program, you will receive a guide on how to prepare and get your child excited about their camp. Our amazing educators are highly trained and skilled in separation matters that are very normal for a child.
If your child is new to English, do not worry. Our camps are designed to guide and support children to feel comfortable and trusted. They are enticed to communicate, have fun and most of all, enjoy their learning.
Experiential learning is powerful as children actively engage in an activity with their hands, gain understanding and retain more knowledge.
The meals are Japanese style bento boxes that include steamed vegetables, Japanese rice, and a protein: beef, pork, chicken, fish, tofu, varying daily. Snacks usually include cut fresh fruit or a dry snack. Vegetarian option is available, however, fish stock may be used in the cooking.
If your child has never attended an early education environment in English, allow them the experience. Children are resilient and adaptable. Our educators communicate with visual aids at the start, give children their full attention, and allow them the time to understand and. be understood.
In the afternoon:
Children practice what they learned in the morning.
New activities every day and can include cooking, baking, science experiments, energising circuits, jumping on the trampoline etc.

Learn vocabulary related to travel, choose the appropriate clothes for each destination, pack your luggage, prepare your passport and get ready for a summer adventure!
Embark on a weekly global journey! Join us as we set off on a weekly exploration of diverse countries. We'll immerse in some aspects that help us understand each nation's unique identity, language, music and geography.
Create with your hands, prepare some foods and experience the world through its culture, architecture, flavours and sounds. Every week is a new destination and a new discovery!

Winter Camp:
Come and discover winter wonderland with us! These project weeks are all about celebrating the magic of Christmas and winter. We'll bake traditional treats from around the world including Christmas treat, learn the secrets of Finnish Christmas Rise pudding, and fill the air with festive songs. We will also explore new flavours, build confidence, and enhance our English communication skills in a truly enchanting atmosphere.

Fall Camp
Prepare for a week of Halloween magic! In our Witch Kitchen, we'll conjure up scary snacks and zombie brews. The Ghost Boutique will be buzzing with creepy crafts, and we'll end with a monster party you won't forget! We'll explore the imaginative world of Halloween, learn about its traditions, and boost confidence while communicating in English.

Spring Camp
Explore the wonders of nature as we embark on a design and building project to experience the magic of being an inventor.
Throughout the week, we will enjoy the outdoors and collect materials to enhance our creations.

We offer enrollment in weekly sessions throughout March and April. Alternatively, you can enroll your child during their school holidays. If your child's school has unique holiday dates, please let us know so we can arrange their participation.
