Moomin International Kindergarten
Welcome to Moomin International Kindergarten, Tokyo's first early childhood education center (ECEC) modelled on Finnish early childhood education practices. As the only center in Tokyo with a Finnish approach, we embark on a playbased journey that nurtures young minds to fall in love with learning and become innovative thinkers.
Our nurturing and stimulating environment allows children to develop a deep appreciation for themselves, the world and learning. We understand that each child is unique and has their own pace of development. Therefore, our curriculum is designed to adapt to their individual needs, helping them thrive and build a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Children learn best through play and hands-on experiences. We believe in providing children everyday activities filled with excitement where children will find joyful adventures, discovery and playful exploration.
Our classrooms are equipped with learning materials that promote project based learning and resources that encourage exploration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Teachers plan learning experiences around the interests and developmental needs of the children. Our learning environments extend to the outdoors in the natural world where activities are planned with intention, in order to encourage curiosity and experimentation and for children to find new interests, make discoveries, and form new ideas and understanding about themselves and the world.
