CEO & Founder
With extensive experience in the finance industry, Barbara fell unprepared to give her newborn “the best” early education, while living in Tokyo. Her son was being born into a multi lingual family and she became curious about how the brain works and what helps children develop into multilingual life love learners.
Her curiosity lead her to research not only how children learn, but also how early education is “taught” at several early education systems. She found an interesting play based educational model in Finland, her husband’s native country.
Wanting to give their son the best possible early education in the world without so much pressure and in her case, without relocating, Barbara partnered with Finnish educators to create Moomin International Kindergarten, a unique early childhood education center in Tokyo, modelled after the national system in Finland.

Ms. Patricia has an extensive background in teaching. Her experience includes 7 years as an international pre-school teacher, as well as Japanese, English and Spanish teacher and translator.
She has also managed offices and clients for several Japanese companies and has worked closely with overseas expatriate families as a relocation consultant.

Teacher & Baby Program Specialist
Ms Dennys is a pre-school educator with over 25years of experience working with children from 0 to 6 years old in Colombia, the UK and Japan. She has a proven track record developing strong relationships with families and delivering professional care and education to children, specialising in delivering a broad variety of stimulating activities to promote and enhance social, emotional and cognitive abilities to positively influence children’s early development.
Creative and innovative instruction methodologies, organizational skills, general discipline and logistics support.

Digital Marketing & Comms Manager
Experience in marketing & copywriting. Brand development, construction and positioning.
Experience in press management and PR for educational institutions and consumer brands such as Netflix, NotCo, and NBC Universal.
