educare & PROJECT based education

We practice the EDUCARE model in which the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Education System in Finland is based on and focuses on supporting the development of the whole child.

Children have the right to play, the right to be listened to and are given the time to explore their multiple intelligences. Children learn with the same educator for a minimum of two years. This practice allows educators to get to know each child personally to get a deeper grasp of the child’s strengths and challenges and are able to tailor instructional and emotional support to enable every child in the group to reach their full potential.

Children are provided with guidance and are enticed to participate in all activities and are given a great amount of exposure to world knowledge and given time to be creative, opportunities to be challenged and have the right to develop their own ideas at their own pace.

PROJECT BASED EDUCATION is based on John Dewey’s notion that understanding derives from activity, making, doing things, being engaged and learn how the world works and how children can contribute to society by developing individual thinking.

Children partner with highly qualified child development educators who provide warm, playful and affectionate interactions to fill them with a sense of being valued and accepted and a variety of projects that engage children to understand concepts with world applications from a very young age. This is all done in a playful and fun manner so children are excited to engage in their own learning.
