Did you know moomin kindergarten is open all year-round?

Yup, Moomin International Kindergarten closes only on all public holidays and a week in May (Golden Week), a week in August (Obon week) and 2 weeks in December (Christmas and New Year). This allows families to plan their holidays when the kindergarten is closed. But more importantly, it allows moms to work or study and know that their children are having all of their developmental needs met, are experiencing and learning about the world through projects and are playing and having fun during their most important years of development while getting prepared for Big School!!

At Moomin International Kindergarten, we welcome families from all across the globe and prepare their children to be confident and joyful life-long learners., We provide an inclusive environment where children truly feel a sense of belonging, where they are surrounded by our exceptional team of teachers who embark on a variety of immersive learning adventures with children. All learning is enriched with experiences and built with relationships, and connections to people, places, and ideas. Our families are diverse and believe in the power of play and joy as the best tools for learning and together we promote play, joy, curiosity, and exploration as the foundation of all learning.

Projects are a very effective way for children to learn a variety of valuable skills such as to plan, focus, work in teams, make useful objects and see their ideas come to life. Multiple iterations make children think in different ways and see the value of their curiosity, creativity and different ways to express themselves. The multi aged environment gives all children the opportunity to learn from each other, make mistakes, celebrate success and understand that failure is just an unexpected outcome that we can learn from.

Children engage in a variety of projects every single week through our weekly and are encouraged to be actively engaged during every step of an activity and in the process increase their vocabulary, knowledge and understanding of each subject.

Children learn that stains are also part of life, and they understand how to express themselves through the development of socio emotional skills.,
